Lowell, I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of the nurses who took care of Cynthia at Stanford. I took care of your lovely wife a lot during her hospitalization. I remember how brave and strong she was even during the most difficult times. When she was at her sickest she remained kind towards all who cared for her. Madame Mannering was my delightful and caring French Teacher at West Linn High School in West Linn, Oregon in the 1980s. She was always kind yet firm and held us to high standards which gave us a wonderful learning experience. I met some of my best friends in her class. She was patient and lovely and had the sweetest smile and cutest laugh and we all loved her.
