Cynthia P. Morton, age 75, of Brick, NJ, passed away on June 2, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Colonia, NJ before moving to Brick in 1978.  Cynthia was all about family and loved nothing more than to spend time with them, she loved to laugh, even if the time was not appropriate. 


She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Margaret Scheuermann, and her son, Russ Morton, III.


Surviving Cynthia are her husband, Milford Russell Morton; daughter, Colleen Rapp and her husband, Ron; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Matthew and Cloe Nicole; four sisters and their husbands, Linda and Hank August, Diane and the late Larry Bartlett, Marjorie and Phill Lewis, and Karen and Mike Koen; her brother-in-law, Jim Morton and his wife, Gail; sister-in-law, Joanne Streeter and her husband, Jim; she is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.


A viewing for Cynthia will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00 am, at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
