Read MoreCynthia Peterson was my first Architecture prof, at CCNY in 1980. Her design classes were always more fun and less predictable than typical studios, ranging from Central Park kite festivals to constructing mood lamps or designing house boats. And occasionally buildings for real or fictitious site. She was terrific, always upbeat and enthusiastic.

Cynthia was my favorite professor at CCNY School of Architecture. She always had so many good ideas and had such positive energy that I still think of her often when I'm designing my projects.
I was sad to read of her passing, she was very special.
