With heartfelt condolences to the Devold Family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Devold family. Cyprian was a great friend and an inspiration to me. His commitment to improving the lives of New Orleanians will long be remembered by those of us that had the pleasure of working beside him. God Bless.

The Devold Family,
I am saddened by the loss of a great person. I had the opportunity to meet Rev. Devold in San Diego several years ago at a revival at St. Rita's Catholic Church. After speaking wiht him, I found out that he knew my brother, Chris Battley which preceded him in death several years ago. I will remember his wisdom and the great advice he gave me on an issue that was troubling me. The Devold Family have my greatest sympathy.

Father C is what my family referred to him as, he married my husband and I eight years ago and last year he Baptized my son. He was and still will be a part of our family forever. He is missed but will never be forgotten. To his family our prayers are with you.

To The Devold Family:I am deeply saddened by the death of my Fr. "Hunk"; as I called him. He brought Cynthia and I to New Roads years ago, to meet you all and see where he came from. We had a good visit. We all used to go to the Zulu Balls, when Fr. Glenn was alive. I know he and Fr.Glenn and Fr. Wilfred are having a good time now. I hope you are comforted by knowing he was so well loved. I was displaced by Katrina;(to Atlanta,GA.) so I couldn't be there to say goodbye in person.I will miss...

Dear Devold Family,

I so wish the distance between us was much less. I met Cyprian in Canada and shared some very special and private moments with him. He will always share a space in my heart and memories. He once told me I reminded him of a sister he lost, this was without question an honor and privilege. He was a special friend and confidant. He was a fun and vibrant man. He was a very holy man. The Church was truly blessed to have him as her servant. I was truly blessed to call...

My prayers and deepest sympathies to your family.
I spent a few months with Fr. Cyprian in Canada nd I enjoyed his presence and faith deeply.
He touched my life in the short time I knew him. I will greatly miss him.

Dear Devold Family,
I had the good fortune to meet Fr. Cyprian in Canada. From the beginning, his big smile won me over.

But it was when I was transferred to New Orleans, that he became my "Guardian Angel." Whenever, I needed some cheering up or someone to talk to -- he was there. And this was at a time when his own health was starting to decline. His generosity knew no bounds.

The "best" was when we would go somewhere in downtown New Orleans and he started...
