Not sure what to say?

I first gazed Cy at an automotive event. I thought him a spectator -speculator- high-attention attendee as he circled several card-tables of loosely placed esoteric, and quite rare automobile parts. Cy was afflicted with "The Nack" for acquiring tasteful functional automobilia. Cy was the center of gravity for PARTS that were artistically designed for form and function. He loved facilitating Peoples similar affliction of collecting. Cy made homes for "the last correct detail of intricacy and...

We are pleased we were able to be at the memorial service last year. Sherry and I will sorely miss our great friend Cy at the La Jolla Concours this year, but hope to see dear Donna. Happy Valentine's Day.

I worked for Cyril at George AFB in 1968 while I was finishing my degree. He had replaced the highly esteemed Dr. Danielson. Hope your life turned out the way you wanted it to, Cyril. Know you had high hopes for yourself

So sad to just find out that Cy has passed way . Cy was a wonderful man and his knowledge had no bounds , as a young man visiting USA for the first time attending the RROC meet in Philidephia Cy took me under his wing and was the same every year after that for 20 years . I will miss you Cy , god bless you xx Terry Lupton ( London England )

I first met Cy at a CJA swap meet. I also spent several Beaulieu swap meets talking with him. His stall was one aisle over from ours. i think it was a year ago that I last sold something to Cy ( only after some hard bargaining on both sides!). He will be missed.

He was the Chief Judge and we were both interested in serious judging for originality and authenticity. We bonded immediately and discovered we shared common views on many other things. We became the best of friends and remained so until the end. My wife Sherry and Donna also enjoyed each other. Every year we rode with them in the La Jolla Tour in the comfortable backseat of their Rolls or...

Cy was my mentor and taught me the do's & don'ts of Concours Judging. For over 40 years I have taken his words to heart and they have guided me through my Judging career and life. Thank you dear friend RIP....

Good-By To A Good Friend We and the entire Horseless Carriage Club lost a good friend when Cy Conrad passed away recently. He served for several years as a San Diego Region Board Member, many of those years with us on the board with him and we considered him and his wife Donna as good friends. Cy was also a fellow member of ours in the Rolls Royce Owner´s Club which gave us more opportunities to get to know him better and to enjoy his and Donna´s company. He had a wonderful collection...
