Cyril Wade Kennedy Sr. LAURENS -- Cyril Wade Kennedy, Sr., 62, of 1231 South Harper Street Ext., husband of Alfreda Aiken Kennedy, departed this walk of life on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Hospice Care of Clinton. Born in Laurens, he was the son of the late Garrett and Wilhemia Cleveland Kennedy. He was a graduate of Laurens High School Class of 1972 and was retired from the Timken Company and he was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David Michael Kennedy, He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of the home; two sons, Cyril Wade (Meoshia) Kennedy, Jr., of Clinton and Ryan (Tekola) Moore, of Greenwood; one daughter, Barbara Denise Kennedy, of Clinton; two brothers, Ronald Bernard Kennedy, of the home and Ricky (Jessie) Turner, of Laurens; two sisters, Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Pruitt, Sacramento, Ca. and Phyllis Turner Harper, of Laurens; seven grandchildren, Keandre, Destiny, Ryanna, Ryan, Jr., Ryzoria, Josh and Kayla; mother-in-law, Hattie Aiken, of Hodges; brothers-in-law, Charlie (Josie) Aiken, of Greenwood, and Ronnie Aiken, of Augusta; sisters-in-law, Sharon Kennedy, of Laurens, and Althea Aiken, of Hodges; devoted aunt and uncle, Harold (Carrie) Sullivan, Colorado Springs, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Cyril Wade Kennedy will be Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at 12 Noon, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Laurens, with Rev. Jefferson McDowell, Pastor and Officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be at Goins Funeral Home on Tuesday evening. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected]. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Services have been entrusted to Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc.
