To the Cohen family: I am saddened by your loss recently. I knew you all as a teenager in Plymouth Meeting and as a student at Germantown Jewish Center. Cy was my basketball coach for the Center. I used to cut your grass in the summers. I used to baby-sit your kids. I lived on Kings Road as a youngster. I have nothing but fond memories of Cy who taught me competativeness & sportsmanship that would serve me well in future years. I wish you peace & tranquility with lots of fond memories...

You may not know me, but I was a neighbor of Sy when he lived on Wayne Avenue in Germantown. I lived on Arbutus Street and he was a few years older than me. I remember him as a good athlete that took the time to be kind to a younger person who was learning basketball and baceball. Because he was older I was never in his social group in the neighborhood or in school. I was saddened by his passing and that is why I wanted his children and grandchildren to know about some of his early days. I...
