Dear Betty and the McKell Family

Cy’s legacy is in his family, his deeds and the people he mentored and advised. Cy mentored me through a PhD at Utah State University and surely played a significant role in my move to UC Davis as Extension Rangeland Management Specialist in 1978. Early in my UC Davis career he just showed up one day to say hello and see how I was doing. Over the years we have exchanged notes, emails and phone calls just to check in. I will remember my last...

A truly fantastic gentleman who mentored me in my time with NPI. He will be missed and remembered by many

It’s truly amazing how many descendants of Milo Andrus and Lucy Loomis Tuttle have lived lives of great distinction. Though I did not personally know Dr McKell, as a Lucy Loomis Tuttle descendant I am truly indebted to him for all his years of service. Thank You

Cy McKell was and is a personal hero. In his presence, I knew there was a better way to live my life. Humble, compassionate, spiritual, bright, witty, and always present in the moment with a listening ear and light in his eyes. I look forward, in an even better place, to wrap my arms around him and thank him personally for his silent, profound contributions in my life.

I have worked with Cy in the Milo Andrus family org. He was always willing to help and one of the first to offer assistance. I will miss his quiet influence in our meetings.

My condolences to Jana McKell of Hillcrest Elementary on the loss of her father-in-law.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Betty and the family. We had the privelege of making many memories together. We loved Cy so very much and will miss hearing from at Christmas time
