So sorry to just now find out about Mark's passing. We enjoyed a year together at Evans Grill behind the U. of Tennessee library in 1967/68, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, and discussing everything. I hadn't seen him since but always hoped we would meet again, and perhaps we will.

To Mark's children, may you find comfort in knowing he is in a better place free of pain. Maybe even enjoying his fishing.
You are always in our thoughts.
Love,

I saw Mark last summer after 52 years. We were close friends at East High school.
We seemed to pick up where we left off with a minimum of reminiscing and dove into discussions of literature and philosophy just like the old days. I had forgotten what a profound influence his friendship had on my life's direction.
With a giant heart he cared about life and he cared about people. I am so grateful he was part of my life.
