Dahlman Davis

I loved visiting with him on Saturday´s when he stopped in for lunch at the swingin doors! I will never forget him! He will always have a special place in my heart!

D.J. aka Mr. Davis as I knew him by. Oh how I adored that man!! He was always in my corner. He never punished me for anything I did much to the dismay of some of my teachers. We had been corresponding for several years. I am so very sad to know he is gone...

D.J. was a wonderful person and great Principal at Odessa Highschool. He was always fair and kind to me. I was always impressed that he knew every students name. I feels he was in this position because he cared and was not just there for a paycheck. He left a great legacy ! Thank you Mr Davis for the Best Principal ever!!

I worked with/for DJ for ten years. If he said he'd do something, you could take it as gospel. I never worked for a better man.

For about four years before his move back to Maitland, DJ, Jack Yancey, and myself had a weekly morning coffee time at the Downhome Cafe in Odessa. We didn´t solve all the local or world problems, but we sure throughly cussed and discussed most of them. DJ was a grand fellow and a good friend. Rest in Peace, DJ. I will do my best to honor your legacy each everyday.
