Dakota Edward Blevins, #Superman #10, age 16, joined God's angels in heaven on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. Dakota was born March 23, 1999 and was a resident of Thorn Hill. He attended Hancock County High School.

Dakota played football from the time he was in kindergarten, starting out with the Peewee Football Program, middle school and as the high school quarterback. He played any position that was needed and left it all on the field. He also played basketball since kindergarten. He began on the PTO League, elementary team, middle school, junior and varsity teams. He again left it all on the court.

He was a volunteer coach for Little League Football and helped to referee summer soccer league. He played on the golf team, was active in 4-H and First Priority and enjoyed making everyone laugh. He was active in a drama ministry that was just beginning and a member of Sneedville First Baptist Church of Sneedville. He enjoyed providing for the Shoebox ministry. He carried his Bible in his vehicle and witnessed to his teammates on numerous occasions. His prayer concerns were for his teammates and friends. He has prayed for you daily and we as his family will continue that prayer. Fly high #10.

He is survived by his parents, Phillip Edward and Edwina Louise Blevins of Thorn Hill; brother, Devon Teague Blevins of Thorn Hill; nana, Lana Gibbons of Thorn Hill; g-paw, Jim Blevins and wife, Beverly, of Corryton; uncles, Allen Blevins and wife, Marilyn, of Knoxville and Tony Blevins and wife, Amanda, of Corryton; special niece, Quinlyn; cousins, Jordan Blevins of Florida and Adrian McCarthy of Knoxville; very special girlfriend who he loved dearly, Macy Reed, of Sneedville; numerous friends who he felt were brothers. You always had each other's back.
