Dear Bakers -- It's been several decades since we (the Flannerys) last saw each other on the slopes at Solitude or in your home. For a while there, I grew up with and learned from Dale, Leanne, Danette, and Georgette -- took ski lessons with Orval -- had the requisite crush on Dale -- had a most remarkable birthday cake made for me by Bea.

My heart is heavy hearing of Superintendant Baker's passing. I'm a police officer with Granite District and had the priviledge of working with Dale in many difficult situations. Having only met Mr. Dale one time (at dance), I have to say, he and his lovely wife raised a fabulous daughter. One that touches everyone's life that she happens to come in contact with. I can only imagine that Mr. Dale had the same impact on the people he interacted with as well.

Please know that we are constantly lifting your family up in prayer. I know there are no words that can comfort you now, but always try to remember the good times.
