Not sure what to say?

I am still in shock over the passing of Dale. Dale always challenged me to be my best in everything we did. He seemed to always be one step in front of me on our sports teams. Unfortunately, I lost track of dale after high school. With all the great words, he sounded like a loving husband and father. My prayers go out to Michelle and family.

When we were both in 6th grade (1973), Dale Barthel and I played on the same youth football team (in the video, that's me standing to Dale's left in the first two team pictures). In junior high, I was in the same club as Dale and Michele Neal. Looking back on that 8th grade picture from our 1975 year book, I see Michele and Dale standing next to each other. Recently, with his four sons present, Dale's dad said that of all four of the Barthel brothers, Dale...

What a sad loss. Dale was a close childhood friend very sad to hear of his passing. It was very nice to see his beautiful family online. He looked happy. Michelle , may the Lord grant you and your family peace and grace through such a difficult time. Our prayers are with you. God bless. Aloha ke Akua. Mitch mcpeek

Although I did not know Dale personally, by knowing his sweet family in Texas (Joe & Tami and family), and hearing them speak so lovingly about him, I wish I had the opportunity. Will have to wait for heaven. Prayers of peace & comfort coming your way from Texas.

My fellow Cal Poly Mustang fought a courageous fight. His spirit is with us all.

We were so saddened to hear of Dale's passing. Dale was always a gentleman and we remember him as a great athlete growing up with our son and their many friends. God bless you all.
