To Honor the Memory of
Dale Vernon Curry
Mr. Dale Vernon Curry, age 75, of 202 East Main Street, Vevay, Indiana.
Dale was born on July 24, 1930 in Center Square, Indiana the son of
Paul L. & Susie M. (Brett) Curry both of whom preceded him in death.
Dale had been a farmer for 30 years on his family farm near Moorefield,
Indiana and had resided in Switzerland County most all of his life. He
was a 1948 graduate of Vevay High School and a graduate of Auctioneer
School in Decatur, Indiana. Dale was inducted in the U.S. Army in
February 1952, 101st Airborne Division, serving during the Korean
Conflict & was honorably discharged in February 1953. Dale was united in
marriage on January 12, 1951 to Ethel May (Lewis) in Versailles,
Indiana, and to this union arrived two sons and a daughter. Dale also
had been an Auctioneer for Raymond Shadday and Ray Walton. He had also
worked for the B&F Furniture Factory in Carrollton, KY. Later Dale
worked in the Paint Department at Wal-mart in Madison, IN and later he
had worked for Richardson Industries in Vevay, Indiana until August of
2005. Dale was a member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the
Vevay VFW Post #5396 , and the Long Run Baptist Church. In his spare
time he enjoyed Horses, Ballgames, Cards, Horseshoes and Croquet. Dale
also enjoyed picking on and cutting up with others. Dale died Tuesday,
December 6, 2005 at 11:18pm at King's Daughter's Hospital in Madison.
A LOVING FAMILY
Dale will be missed by his daughter: Mary Jane "Janie" Konkle & her
husband: Steve of Vevay, Indiana; 2-sons: Robert Dale Curry of
Roseburg, Oregon; Ricky Alan Curry & his wife: Kim of Madison, Indiana;
8-grandchildren: Torey, Tiffany, Tessia, Alisha, Jayda, Kayla, Morgan &
Kyle; 3-great grandchildren: Jaymason, Aliya, Jade; 2-brothers:
Clinton Curry of Moorefield, Indiana; Henry P. Curry & his wife: Dot
of Rising Sun, Indiana; 1-sister: Katherine Martin of Dillsboro, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by parents: Paul & Susie M. (Brett) Curry,
1-sister: Ina Mae Caplinger died 7-15-1997 and 1-brother: Jimmy Curry
died 3-19-2005 .
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2005 at
1:00pm, by Bro. Logan Fugate at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208
Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Vevay
Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS
Memorial contributions may be made to Switzerland Co. Emergency Unit or
the Vevay American Legion & Vevay VFW Relief Funds. Cards are
available at the funeral home.
