My mother passed away, after a year long battle with cancer, in my senior year of high school. It was 1973 and I was suicidal. I could talk to Mr. Hill when I couldn't talk to my family. I didn't want to contribute to their pain. He was a jokester, writing on the chalkboard "Bobby Riggs will beat Billie Jean King". He was wrong, but played the role of a chauvinist pig stating that men were better than women, in anything. I once threw a banana cream pie in his face, only to be grabbed and...

Thank you all so very much, My father always spoke about leaving a positive footprint on the world ...he would have been very touched by all of your comments. God Bless you all.

I am late getting the news on Mr. Hill. As others have said, he had a profound effect on me still felt today. There was no other teacher I had who compared to him. He really taught me how to be a critical thinker. There are many things he said to me that i remember today. There's no question I am a better person as a result of his teaching. IRIP Mr. Hill.

Rest in Peace Dale you will be missed

I am fortunate among so many others to have known Mr. Hill. My most heartfelt sympathy to the Hill family. Dale II, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr Hill was a teacher of mine at George Daly , I have fond memories of him . Our deepest sympathies to the family . He will always be remembered from his Kearsley students .
