Not sure what to say?

Jane and family,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. It's never easy to lose a parent. He sure was extrodenary man. I have fond memories of him. I especially remember him making jewelry and his beautiful rose garden. As I have tried to grow flowers in my yard I realize how much work it really took. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Patty and I are out of town and won't be able to attend the services for Dale. Dale was a very dear, kind and gentle man, and we were deeply saddened to learn of his passing. When I first came to Grand Rapids 36 years ago as an inexperienced pathologist to assume the duties as Director of Laboratories at the then Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital Dale warmly welcomed me to the pathology community. He was always there for me as an adviser and mentor, and when I needed help, which was often,...

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Dale L. Kessler. I am so sorry for your loss as I know what a dynamic impact he had on all of your lives (and mine). He was the most eloquent, kind, generous, considerate, brilliant and humorous person I have ever known. I was blessed to have been his secretary for many years at Blodgett and learned so much from him. His confidence in my ability elevated me to accomplish tasks I never imagined I could do; his gratitude for my loyalty and support...

I worked for Dr Kessler for over 8 years when he had the lab on East Paris. He was truly a "Gentle Man" in every sense. I then got a job at the Blood Center and saw him there often. He always had a kind word and a hug for me. He will live in my heart with memories of kindness.

Jane and Family,
I am sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
As I read through his life accomplishments, it reminded me of the times at Wealthy Elementary when I would spend time at your house.
Your father, although a busy doctor, always made me feel welcome and a very important person.
God Bless you and yours.
Sincerely,

My wife and I are out of town and will not be able to attend the services for Dale Kessler.I cannot describe how helpful Dale was to me during my 55 years of service as Director of Laboratories of Butterworth Hospital and as Trustee of Michigan Blood. There never was a better colleague and friend!
I pray that many happy memories of Dale will ease the pain of his passing for his friends and family. I know that they will for me.

Dr. Kessler was my mentor, my friend and my 'dad in GR'...he will be sorely missed. I wish Dale's family the peace of knowing that bits of him are left behind in everyone he touched. I want you to know how grateful I am for all he did for me and Michigan Blood (the blood center formerly known as Michigan Community Blood Centers).

Dale married my Grandma Foe eight years ago. It was a little strange for me at the time, but as I got to know him, I saw what a great thing it was for both of them. They were genuinely happy together, and it was just so special and unique what they were able to do. He was a great guy, and it was so natural to accept him and the rest of his family into our own family. It is a real tribute to the kind of person that he was that he kept living until the end, taking advantage of all life had...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
