Not sure what to say?

I just happened across Dale's obituary here. Dale and I only knew each other through our shared love of old postcards. We used to bid on the same Sullivan County cards on ebay! And since I used to sell some of my cards on ebay, Dale often bid on my postcards. We struck up an email correspondence talking about Sullivan County, Pa. Dale was a fellow "phantic" with my favorite hobby and I always looked forward to our friendly "bidding" against each other! Dale usually won however. Please accept...

I'm in Atlanta now and just found out about Dale's passing tonight and am still in shock. My sincerest condolences to his family. I am so glad I had the chance to have dinner with him when he was down here for a meeting last year. One of my favorite memories of Dale is speeding in his MG through Fairmont Park to work at PPC while we were still at Drexel--when the car would start! Dale was definitely one of the good guys.

If there is a place after (which Dale and I never talked about although our contacts were always initiated by Jewish Population Studies) I am sure Dale is listening to what used to be my David Alan Coe CD, volume maximum, speed 85 MPH, radar detector on the dash.

Watkins Glen - Sept. 2008

Remembering a friend.

I work for his company, but we never talked about work. In fact, except for polite Good Morning’s we didn’t talk at all… at first. Then I noticed him driving an Austin Healey, and I asked him about it. Then, it was just a couple of car guys discussing a shared passion for sports cars. Dale had them; I read about them and could fill in some history. He introduced me to like-minded folks in car clubs, and together we discovered the amazing Simeone...

Dale was a mentor and an inspiration to so many. He will be sorely missed.

I am saddened to hear about Dale's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work for Dale and to know him for almost three years. His company and the people who work for him reflect how great he was as a person. I am sending so many thoughts and prayers to his family. xoxoxoxo- Natalie Levin
