Dale Gordon Patterson

Mr. Patterson was a brilliant artist, musician and poet and inspired many of us to become artists. He was an open and kind teacher.

My daughter Christie Blizard was inspired and encouraged to pursue a career in art education by Mr Patterson, She now teaches art at University of Texas San Antonio, along with his son Dane where they were reacquainted as colleagues.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I absolutely adored Mr. Patterson. I met him as a teenager at CNHS. My art style was not everyone's "cup of tea." But he loved me, encouraged me and helped me grow as a person. I was fortunate enough to reconnect with him years after high school via social media. To no surprise, he still loved and encouraged through messages about family, gardening, art and cooking. Til we meet again, friend. Your kind soul will never be forgotten!

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Patterson's passing. He was my art teacher in high school and the kindest man/teacher.
