Coach Platt was my first coach to ever take a personal interest in me not only as a player but as a person and his lessons on and off the court has served me well. RIP Coach #GAZELLEPRIDE

Condolences to Mr . Platt s family. He was loved by many , myself includedMy favorite teacher at Gault Jr. High God Bless you all

Oh how Mr. Platt's name jumped out at me as I looked on the TNTs page here. Mr. Platt was a young teacher when I was in his 9th grade class many years ago (approx. 1958-59). I remember how my friend Sue and I liked him so much/kind of a teenage crush thing. We played a small trick on him one time to get his attention. I think we all had a good laugh. I can picture the scene today. He was an excellent teacher and an inspiration to all students who had the honor of being in his class. ...

Mr Platt was my English and History teacher at Gault Jr High. He helped this shy little girl to believe she could more than she thought she could. He was one teacher I always wanted to go back and visit as an adult. So thankful I had him as teacher. Ill remember him always. God bless his family and bring comfort as they mourn their loss.

Mr.Platt was a great teacher at Gault. He was my homeroom teacher for three years. Condolences to his family .

Have many very good memories visiting my uncle Dale and family in Tacoma. Will always miss those special days together!

Mr. Platt was my English teacher in 1966 at Gault Jr. High. He was a very kind man who I remember well. In fact, my three brothers and I were influenced by him - in sports and the classroom. I remember him standing outside his classroom waiting for the next class to come in. He was an even tempered man who cared about his students.

Rest in peace Mr. Platt - you were well loved!

Most patient and kind hearted teacher I ever had. I,too, love history because of you. More than that, I try to be as kind as you always were. Your demeanor made a difference to a 13 year old missing her Dad in Korea. Thank you and bless you. See you in heaven. B. Y. Hobbs Harris 68.

Beloved teacher and coach. He will be remembered by me until I too pass from this world. When I was in the 8th grade he went to bat for me and others who wanted a black history course added for our learning. Mr DiPalma approved and Mr Stilwell taught the class. Great man. Great humanitarian. Forever a friend to the teenager. Much respect from all. Hes probably in heaven right now organizing an intramural softball league for the angels. Great deeds never die.
