WILLIAMSBURG - Dale Andrew Stubbs, 50, passed peacefully April 2, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 6, 1961, to Roland H. Stubbs Junior and Phyllis G. (Stanchfield) Stubbs. Dale held many professions throughout his lifetime. The most important job he had was being an incredible father to his loving daughter, Savannah Stubbs of Milo. He was a great "father" to his four-legged companion, Trapper, as well. He is also survived by his stepmother, Margaret Stubbs; sister, Kelly Woodard and husband, Arthur; brother, David Stubbs and wife, Laurie; brother, Danny Stubbs and wife, Pam; stepsister, Kelly Nelson; and stepbrother, Michael Nelson and wife, Meredith. He was predeceased by each of his parents; and sister, Karen Stubbs. He had a special bond with each of his nieces and nephews. Dale also had a great group of friends that he cared about as if they were family. They know who they are. Dale will always be remembered with a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve. He was one of the most caring, compassionate people in this world. He was always eager to help anyone out in any way that he could. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he could beat anyone at a good game of cribbage. He could outcook most, and he loved to read. He will be terribly missed. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dale will be held 2 p.m. April 14 at Brownville Community Church. Dale's main concern was always Savannah's education. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to honor Dale's wishes may be made to his daughter, Savannah Stubbs, 150 Lyford Road, Milo, ME 04463.

Not sure what to say?

You are missed RIP

My heart and thoughts go to Dale's family including his daughter, David and Kelly. I have good memories of fun times visiting the Stubbs family home when we were all young and hanging out with Karen and Dale and other friends. All good people the world was lucky to have in it.

Our thoughts are with the Stubbs family. We wish we could be there with you to offer comfort during this difficult time. Memories are great gifts and laughing about the good times helps to ease the pain. Love to all.

Dale - can't believe you're gone. First your dad and now you. If I ever go hunting again you'll be right there with me, laughing and leading the way to the big game. RIP cuz. Sympathies to all.

God Speed
