Not sure what to say?

I met Dale in Colorado. He was on vacation with his family. We became great friends, spending times together in Colorado skiing, or just hanging out at my folks. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

I grew up with Dale in the Portage First United Methodist Church. His wonderful mom was one of our Sunday school teachers (I still remember the lesson of the Round Tuit.) and his talented brother Jon was the leader of our musical group, Jon's (Jesus of Nazareth's) Jubilee Singers. In between youth groups and church softball, we also spent many evenings in the St. Catherine's parking lot playing pickup basketball. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Dale... I'm his first cousin and have fond memories of our family times when we were younger. Holidays at Grandma and Grandpa Paxson's at their house on Higman Park hill were always fun and our times spent @ Paxson Pines in Kalkaska I'll never forget and will cherish our memories there.Even though we lost touch of each other in our latest years...this is still hard for me and my siblings!

I feel Blessed to have known Dale although I only knew him for a short period of time. His Spirit touched my heart and soul. I wish I had known him more. His memory will Live on.

God places people in our lives for a reason, and I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to care for not only Dale, but also his beloved wife Gloria in their final days. I believe with all my heart that I was meant to be there for both of them. Out of all the memories I have with Dale, my favorites will always be our talks about baseball. Every time the topic came up, we could go on for over an hour, and I cherished every minute of those conversations. As difficult as this loss...
