Hardly a day goes by that I don´t think of Dale and realize yet again that he was simply the best example of what a friend and ally could ever be...

When I was living in Lawrence, Dale was a swimming competitor , a co worker and a friend. I always admired his attitude toward responsibility and his character. He could surprise you though, with his joy and spontaneity. The trip we made to Lincoln Park in Chicago, August of 1968 should have been made into a movie. He will always be a part of my life as he is, I am sure, a part of the lives of all who knew him.

When I lived in Lawrence ,Dale was a swimming competitor, a co-worker and a friend. I was always taken by his character and responsibility . He also had a spontaneity that could surprise.

Dale is and will always be part of my life, as he is in all that knew him.

My Uncle was the most considerate, kind, and positive person I have ever met. He was generous, forgiving and humble. I strive every day to emulate him in thought and actions. If I can grow to be one tenth of the person he was I will be a great person. I can't speak highly enough of him. I owe my new life and freedom to his way of viewing life experiences. He taught me that I do not have to let my past define me but refine me. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. I will miss him...

From the First Christian Church through high school, Dale was a kind soul with whom we shared an architectural career. After our 45th LHS reunion, he sent a copy of an old LJWorld newspaper clipping of his and my wife Jennifer's Pinckney class. It made her and fellow classmates smile with fond memories. And on behalf of the LHS Class of 1966, may Laurie and their friends find peace and comfort.

Dale was one of the kindest, smartest, most generous and playful friends I've ever had. I miss him so...
