A funeral service for Dale E. Wells, 87 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Church of God at God's Acres with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will be at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wells died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in South Vienna, OH. He was born April 8, 1930 in Columbus, OH to the late Cyrus and Ruby (Larcom) Wells. A 1949 graduate of Lash High School, Mr. Wells retired in 1985 after 30 years of service at Owens-Corning. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of God, God's Acres.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia (Allman) Wells; whom he married June 14, 1952; children, Jeffrey (Kathy) Wells of Newark, Daryl "Steve" (Roberta) Wells of Thornville, Jacqueline Wells-Kincaid of South Vienna; a sister, Christine (Charles) Craig of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Jim (Ruth) Wells and Mark Wells both of Newark; a brother in-law, Don Wells of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren,
Jennifer (Wells) Baker, Keith Wells, Andy Wells, Joby Wells, Coty Wells, Jole Bear, Richey Bear, Adessa (Bear) Harris; 15 great-grandchildren, Hunter Baker, Hannah Baker, Caden Wells, Bryant Wells, Olivia Wells, Aubrey Wells, Mahala Wells, Hayden Wells, Luca Wells, Corey Hutchinson, Emma Hutchinson, Kylie Hutchinson, Alexis Harris, Alyssabeth Harris and Savannah Harris.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Merle Wells, Warren Wells; and a sister, Eileen Wells.

Friends and family may visit from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Church of God, God's Acres, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark.
