Just want to extend my deepest sympathy - as well as my gratitude for the privilege of having served with Dallas on the IL Juvenile Justice Commission for many years. He was a stalwart champion for children, and an exceptional leader - under his leadership, the Commission did a lot of good for the lives of many children across Illinois. Our country, state and Kendall County in particular has lost a brilliant and kind man. As but one example, in the '80s, Dallas led the effort to bring an array of mental health, services to a growing number of children, teens and their families of Kendall County who desperately needed help. He faithfully used his role as our chief prosecuter to divert troubled people from the court system to programs which helped them solve problems without using violence. My condolences to the family, especially his sons who I first knew when they went to Yorkville HIgh School. Dallas helped me a couple of times and was very easy to talk to.
