It was a pleasure to have worked with Damon for the past three summers, and an even more privilege to have known him. Damon touched the lives and brought joy to hundreds of campers and counselors. He always went the extra mile to get the job done, and did so with a smile on his face. He was a person with true class and always thought about others.

I remember refereeing football with Damon two summers ago. On many occasions, we both worked the same field together. I used to do the...

Dear Mr and Mrs. Vaults and Mr. Davis,
I was Damon's football coach at Travis. I regret that I did not get to visit with you at his funeral. I coached high school football for 30 years and consider Damon to be one of the finest athletes I ever coached. We won a lot of games in my tenure at Travis because of his ability and dedication. But, the quality I will remember most about him was his kindness and gentle spirit. I never saw a frown or a scowl on his face and I don't think he had...

Damon meant alot to me while he was working on his Masters at Marshall. He was like family to me and was a strong male role model. He will always be loved and remembered. R.I.P. Damon.

On behalf of the directors, staff, rovers and campers, it is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Damon Davis. Damon spent three summers of his life at Greylock as our Senior side Football director, and he was an important part of our team and family.

At Greylock, we look for staff members who will be role models for our children. Damon fit the bill perfectly. He was unselfish, giving, thoughtful, and, in the three years we worked with him at camp, I never saw him truly...

To Damon's family:

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of Damon.
I got to know Damon very well at Marshall and will treasure the memories I have.

Unlike some people who signed this and went to Greylock, I was up at football a lot. I am not they best player on the feild, but Damon was one of the great reasons why I kept going back. He may have been quiet, but if you got to know him one on one, he is truly a great, funny and overall inspirational person to be around. Damon, you will be missed and I hope the best for your family.
You will always be in everybody's hearts and we miss you. Camp Greylock summer of 08 is dedicated to you
