Damon Edward McIntosh, born in Paducah, Kentucky, on April 28, 1969, left this Earth at the premature age of 40, in his home, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. A private family gathering was held at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, on Thursday, August 6, 2009. Damon attended college in Colorado and graduated from the nursing program at Ouachita Technical College in Malvern. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Benton Services Center and was dearly loved by co-workers and patients alike. Damon worked in the food services industry since high school and had previously worked as a manager for many years at Wendy's in Caddo Valley, Arkansas, where he met his wife, Kimberly. Damon had a passion for building computers and enjoyed playing various computer games. He loved collecting antiques and enjoyed all types of music. He was a loyal family man and loved spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed quiet time with his wife and planning extravagant surprises for her. Damon had a huge heart for rescuing cats and giving them a loving home. Friends and family would describe him as a walking encyclopedia, because he could tell you anything you wanted to know about science, the military, history or politics. He also had a passion for cooking and household projects. Damon will be remembered for his generous heart, his gentle touch, piercing brown eyes, and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique laugh which will be remembered for a very long time by those who knew him best. Damon was preceded in death by his father, Michael McIntosh. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly McIntosh; her three grown daughters, Audrey Collado, Hillary McNerney, and Sondra McFadden; by his mother, Jill Green McIntosh Trevathan; his siblings, Craig McIntosh and Kathy Weatherford, and their spouses Sharon McIntosh and Eddie Weatherford, respectively, as well as their children, step-children and many more relatives who adore Damon, love him and will miss him so very much. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of monetary donations in the name of his wife, Kimberly McIntosh, C/O Tapp Law Offices, 523 Orange Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com
