Not sure what to say?

I met Mr. Simon as a seventh grader at EHJH. Thirty years later, he was at the desk of BMC and exclaimed "Well Kimberly, you've changed your hair color!" He remembered everybody, (and their real hair color).

Margaret,
I always loved talking to Damon, going through the Stephen Ministry training and working with him trying to get it going at church. I know he wanted it to be more used but yet was confident that some participation was better then none!

I loved working the desk at church during the warmer months when Damon always stopped by to deadhead the flowers and he always had his garden hat on and watering can in his hand. His exertise in gardening made a wonderful sight...

I knew Mr. Simon as a counselor at Essexville Garber, I always appreciated his calm approach no matter the situation, an excellent example to the students he counseled. I had the pleasure to see him in my professional life when he volunteered at BRMC, again, his calm, genuine demeanor was appreciated by all he came in contact with. He will be missed.

O how I will deeply miss you Damom, my friend, my confidant, my counselor. I will always remember you, with that big caring gentle soul, and when my flowers bloom I will see your smiling face. Sadly missed and loved so much.

Mrs. Simon, Keith and family,

I attended Garber where I met Mr. Simon and found him to be a great counslor and advisor. We crossed paths again at the office where I work. He was one of our favorite patients. Our whole office was very saddened by the news. We will miss him!

Such good memories of the Simon family..and the Essexville Baptist Community Church. Damon was "one in a million". Mary-Ellen (Asel) Bennett and Family. Our sympathies to you and yours.

Margaret and Keith - Damon was one of the great ones and be sorely missed. Damon was the best principle and counselors you could ask for.You have my deepest condolences on your loss.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Damon's wife and his son and family. I got to know Damon well over the last 10 years in physical therapy settings, as well as when I worked at Bay Regional while he was volunteering. There are some people in this world that are a magnet for the soul, and Damon was one of those people for me. I loved learning about his days growing up in Texas, his career in education, and his love of gardening at home and church. His eyes lit up the most...

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Damon. I spoke with him many times a day while he manned the phone and the surgical waiting room. He spoke lovingly of his wife and family, he was proud of them. He always inquired about my family, after meeting some after my Mother's surgery.
My condolences to his family, and friends. I will always remember him
