Dear Farar Family. Though years and miles apart, my admiration for your family continues to grow. Thank you for what you taught me so long ago. I am grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and faith in God taught to me by a young bishop. Your loss aches within me and I wish for your peace and comfort.

I remember how I always wanted him on my team when we played basketball. He was not someone you wanted to have to keep up with or try and guard. He loved his kids and his wife with a great passion. I loved how he and Adriana could jest with each other about things. I also loved how much time he would spend loving and caring for his boys. Damond was such a remarkable person. He was a leader to the young men in the Arcadia Ward in the first few years after he and Adriana were married. That group of young men included my son, Sean. Sean loved Damond, because Damond loved him. The Sunday before Damond passed away, he and Adriana and their sons visited in the Arcadia Ward.
