Not sure what to say?

Deepest Sympathy to the family especially Dan's children and grandchildren. He was such an outstanding gentleman and will be remembered as a man of God. May he Rest In Peace and may the family find comfort in knowing you will see him again. May Heavenly Father bless and keep you all. Gale and Gary Thomasson

I grew up with Dan Caines and his family in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Dan was one of several men who were like fathers to me after i lost my own father at the age of 13. He was my Boy Scout Leader and helped make my teenage years memorable. I will miss him.

One of my childhood memories is of Dan rescuing me from a mean billy goat. The goat had me pinned against a rock wall, down by the Wiley Creek fish ladder, and was repeatedly butting me with his horns. Dan saw what was happening and rushed to my rescue. He pulled the goat off me and shooed him away. Dan was my knight in shining armor that day. I walked away with a sprained wrist, but the stench of the billy goat stayed with both of us for several days. He is a good man that will be...

DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE CAINES'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS.LOSING A LOVE ONE IN DEATH IS NEVER EASY. ONE DAY MANY WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE AGAIN. MAY THE HOPE OF EVERLASTING LIFE SUSTAIN AND COMFORT YOU DURING THIS SAD AND DIFFICULT TIME. JOHN 17:3

One of my childhood memories is when Dan rescued me from an angry billy goat. He was my knight in shining armor. I survived with a sprained wrist, but the billy goat stench stayed with us both for a few days. He was a great man. May God be with you in your time of sorrow.

God bless you and we will keep you in our prayers.

As Kids, Dan and I attended our first Boy Scout Camp together. We both passed our Canoeing Merit badge while there. Because we mastered the 'J' stroke, we were invited to enter the two man canoeing race at the end of camp, and won the race! This is only one of several choice experiences I had with Dan in our early years. He was a kind friend who always had a smile on his face. He shall be missed! Terry Rice

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
