I'm an old Marine friend of Dan and known him for 45 years. He was a true friend and special person to me. In the early days we were crazy enough to get in a little trouble, but smart enough to stay out of big trouble. We had many great and fun times. Memories that I will cherish forever. I barely knew Dan, but his kindness deeply touched myself and my family. He had worked with my niece, Danielle, at Pizza Hut and when she died two months ago, Dan brought in a fresh rose every week for her Christmas stocking. I went up to meet him and thank him on the Thursday after Christmas. We spoke for a while and he sent me home with a hug, the last rose, and a deep appreciation for the man he was.
