Not sure what to say?

Still missing the Shanty! Lot's of people have tried to make a go of it there but it will never be the same as the Fish Shanty! You made it what it was Dan!

Was thinking of the old Fish Shanty the other day with you Chris and Glen Walker working there and How I got Glen's van back for him that was stolen outside the side door of the Shanty. Good times and good old days!

May God comfort you and Bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Dan was a great person. I would have to say he was one of my favorite people to have worked with.

Eternal Affection Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

Ate a lot of food at Dan's Fish Shanty on my lunch breaks from the Sheriff's Dept. Dan was always a great host along with his son Chris. I miss the good old days! Rest in Peace Dan in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Heartfelt Condolences Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

I had the pleasure of randomly getting paired with and playing golf a few times with Dan at Ridgeview Golf Course. We hit it off and I thoroughly enjoyed playing with him even before we put it together that he was Chris's dad and we both had roots with ICM Products in Cassopolis. He was an awesome human who everyone loved at that course. He made me laugh on every hole, every time. I hope to live my retirement like he did!

So sorry to read about Dan’s passing. I met him as many did I’m sure at the Fish Shanty. It was the best place for both fish and ribs. Dan was always friendly, cheerful and talking to customers. It was a sad day when this place closed. Sadder now that Dan has gone to a better place. Godspeed Dan. You are missed by many.
Sincerely; Andres Herrera
