I have come to understand that there are 2 deaths. One when we die and one when no one longer says our name. I think Dan will long be alive in so many folks´ hearts and minds, but rest well and know that you remain with us in spirit.

I realize it´s been nearly 20 years since Dan´s passing, so I hope this message is received well. I was just thinking about his music, and how much it meant to me when I was young. I was prompted to look him up, and was reminded that he has been gone for a while. Wow, how the years pass so quickly. Every year about this time, I sit down at the piano, and re live "Same Old Lang Sine". Of all of Dan's songs.... I love them all, yet Old Lang Sine seems to touch me most, especially around Christmas / New Year. It is a poignant, and chilling, misty eyed classic. RIH Dan.

I remember I was shopping in a store and it came over the radio that Dan Fogelberg had passed away. Of course I couldn´t hold back my tears. I was so shocked and saddened. I´m 69 now and he was literally my favorite singer song writer musician. My first album was Home Free. Fast forward I just received a turn table/record player for Christmas this year and I´m sitting her listening to all my album collection and reminiscing. Such talent and gone way too soon
