Not sure what to say?

During this past hunting season I had the strongest and best memories of Dan and our great hunts together yet. Thanks Dan!

Karen, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be forever grateful for what Dan taught me and how he pushed me to be a better advocate for wild places and creatures.

Karen, so very sad hear of Dan's passing. I will always remember the two of you taking to the dance floor in Elko, wowing us all with your style and flair....and his famous sourdough pancakes. How wonderful to spend time in this wonderful man's company over the years. With love, Gwen Clancy, Reno, Nevada

Karen I'm so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. It was so much fun to make your cake. What a wonderful day that was. My thought are with you.

Karen your note caught up to us in Mongolia and we will take an extra turn for Dan around the ovoo at the top of the pass into the Darhad Valley. His spirit will always be in those mountains and we were glad you could both be with us.

Karen, we are so sad to hear of Dan's passing. Though Tom & I didn't know him well, I know that he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I met Dan thru our club, the Lakes crossing Muzzle Loaders and although I did not see him as often as we all would have liked, I came to know him as a true outdoorsman and great person. All the members in the club will miss you Dan

Dad was the best father he could be. He was ALWAYS there in my life to support my many endeavors. He taught me how to dance, shoot, ride a horse, hunt, fish, camp, drive, change the oil and tire among many other things. Most of all, he taught me to love the great out-of-doors. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

Dan was my favorite hunting buddy, friend, and mentor over these past 30 plus years, but, also, so much more than that. Always the epitome of authenticity, honesty, integrity and principle, he kept me and countless others on the straight and narrow. He'll continue to do that from wherever he is, for his conservation legacy will live forever. Thanks Dan!
