Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. I met Dan while working at the Troopers. He was a kind-hearted soul. Peace to his memory.

Dan always seemed to find the joy in living and in so doing enriched others lives. He was a humorous and honorable man and will be deeply missed. Dearest friend, I'm holding you in my heart during this difficult time. I hope you find some solace in the company of family and friends. Thinking of you especially today.

Jan,

My heart aches for you and your girls. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Dan was a good man and everyone who knew him was better off for it. I am thankful to have known and worked with him.

I will always remember his laugh. He was a great man and leader...true blue. Rest in peace, Dan.

Jan,
I am so sad for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. I think of you often and it is always brings a smile.
Love,
Jenny (Greiner) Yingling

It is too bad that the younger officers at present day APD did not have the friendship of Dan. Their world would have been better, as was ours. Dan was a silent mentor to all of us. We learned to not stand next to him in roll call firearms inspections though. Something to do with buying donuts. When we recall good memories of a police career, Danny is always at the top of the list for so many reasons. Thanks for touching all our lives. We will miss you.

You will be missed Uncle Dan. I will think of you every time I am at a camp fire. Rest in Peace! -Eric-

What a true pleasure it was to know Dan. He was bright, articulate, and honest to a fault. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and am quite sure he is looking down upon us from on high. A true gentleman and with a genuine love for his fellow man. God Bless.

I will always treasure my memories of Dan from APD and UPD. He was a good man and a good friend. I am so sorry I can't be there to share memories with you all, but am blessed to have been able to tell Dan "goodbye"! God bless you, Jan, and girls.
