Although we have never met, I would like you to know how sad it was to hear of Dan's death. I was his sophamore year roommate at Notre Dame. Dan and I lived together in Lyons Hall, and I could tell many good stories of student life at Notre Dame, but for now they will remain just good memories. My deepest sympathies to the extended Mitola family and in particular, my dear friend, one of his three beloved daughters, Ann. I know he will be missed by a lot of special people who adore him.
