Not sure what to say?

I still remember my first day in the National Guard. as I entered through the front door, Dan was the first to greet me as I first entered. It meant so much to me. I remember when Dan came in through the front door of the the guard when we were all in formation. He had just made the rank of Lieutenant. I still remember him in Grammar school at Live Oak. So many memories of Dan, i could go on & on. He was a great friend, & is greatly missed. Tommy Thompson

I was saddened to learn of Dan's death. He was a loyal friend for many years and gave meaning to the phrase, "civic service." I shall always be indebted to him for his example and the many sterling qualities he shared so freely with those of us who worked with him. I treasure many warm memories with Dan.
Sincerely, Norm Shumway

Elisa, I am so very sorry about Danny. I was so surprised to see this in the Sentinel next to Mom. Please know that my thoughts and love are with you. Doesn't it seem so recently that we were all so young? I remember your wedding with such fondness and always loved to see you two! Peace with Danny and with you and your family too. Love, Judie Keir Kindle
