Not sure what to say?

I count it as a great honor to having been Dan's friend in appreciation of his dedicated service to his country during the last few years of his life.

Just this weekend at the conclusion of the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA someone coined the phrase, "The impossible has just become the possible" following Tiger Woods win following twenty plus years of difficult surgeries and seemingly wasted starts and failures that plague some athletes.

Sharon,

I just now saw your husband's obituary. Wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you.

Dan's life has reached a widening circle of those who listened and admired how such a human and kind person was able to serve his family, his friends, his fellow workers and above all his fellow Americans during WWII.
We can only try to express our deepest appreciation for Dan and his family. The best way we can show our love and deep appreciation to Sharon, his surviving wife and his grieving family, is to do something that Dan would recognize.
Let us dedicate ourselves to...

We always enjoyed the Christmas Parties you hosted at your home on Haverton. Always a pleasure talking to you and Sharon.

What a wonderful man with a truly marvelous life! I was honored to know Dan, a true American icon and certainly an extraordinary representative of the Greatest Generation. RIP, my friend.

I am so sorry hearing about Dan's passing. I used to walk the track with him at the YMCA and always enjoyed talking with him. He will be greatly missed.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
