Dan Roberts

Dan was a good friend and mentor to this young 2nd Lt at 2861st GEEIA Griffiss. Never a bad word on anyone. Knew how to make people feel pride about work and good about life.

Orin Olsgaard 1968 - 1971

We just learned of Dan's passing and wanted to say how much we enjoyed him (and Joyce) as our former neighbors. This photo of him shows the smile I remember so well and I can almost hear him as well. He was a good friend and you can be very proud of him. Please know that we share your grief.

My grandfather, my inspiration for joining the United States Air Force, (of course, along with my father serving in the Air Force), passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9th from multiple medical complications. Reading his obituary, that highlights his military career, will enlighten you as to why I was so inspired to join - he was a force to be reckoned with. I love him and am grateful that he is no longer suffering. I will have to return to Pennsylvania for his military services and plan to do so...
