Dan S. Root

Learning of Dan's passing only moments ago, my heart pains. In all my life I have never known of a person with such a loving giving heart as Dan's. I was the mechanic at Midwest Cargo, TML, and later Hamlin Trucking that keep his rigs safe and road ready. Dan called me the Colonel of truck repairs. He had a heart that would always promote others to shine. Sundays if on the road, he would find a church that would accommodate his 18 wheeler. It was not uncommon for Dan to go out of his way to...

Sad to see this obit ! I met Dan at Midwest cargo around 1984. He was a driver who took pride in his ride and did have a profound love of driving we lost contact years ago and i always wondered about some of the drivers back then and what they were doing and Dan was a friend and my condolences to the family Rest in peace Dan !
