Not sure what to say?

I think of you often and miss you so much. I know you're in a better place.

It's been a year and you are not forgotten. The shock and sadness remain. I am forever grateful to God our paths crossed. Hope you know what a tremendous impact you made on this earth.

Found out about Dan through mail from Jackson Prep. We are very sorry for your loss.

I just learned of Dan's passing. As I read these beautiful entries about the man Dan became, I recognize the teenage boy I knew when we sat next to each other in Anatomy and Physiology and Calculus classes in high school. He always kept a banter going with me--a warm, playful, teasing banter. Different as we were, that banter became a common meeting ground and the basis of a friendship between us. I always thought that the man who could fly through the air was invincible. I met Dan late in the 1985 MSU baseball season. I was just a part-time grad student and full-time student worker who had never even been to a State ballgame. Even though he was BMOC, he never made me feel like he was out of my league—which, of course, he was! Not to relive college glory days, as I think he surpassed himself as a surgeon, but I'll never forget one of the record crowds at the end of the season all...

I was sadden by the news of Dans passing. We were CT residents together

. I have found memories of Dan while at Texas Heart. I remember him as a humble human being with tremendous talent as a Cardiovascular Surgeon.

My condolences to the Van Cleve family. He will be greatly missed by his Houston family.

With much sadness and heartfelt loss I remain priviledge to have known him

Thoughts and prayers going out to the Van Cleve family. What a tremendous loss! Dan was a great surgeon and a wonderful person. He will surely be missed.

WOW! Dan, Just seems like yesterday we were all studying our butts off in anatomy class and just praying for the weekends. I pray now God will bless those you left behind. I just have to smile thinking it is just like you to want to blaze a path for all of us. Know that you and that smile will not be forgotten!

As a family member of a player, I remember so many days at Dudy Noble Field with Dan. As a Left-Field Lounge regular, Dan was a great athlete and a great person. He will be truly missed.
