We all have been missing you Jesse is your grandson he is 6 right now i wish you met him...i know you are with the Lord. i wish i could see you one last time... i was to young to remember i am still young but i remember now. I'm 9 and i cant believe I'm seeing this article from so long ago. may one day you walk me through the door way of heaven.

Good grief! It's all the way to September and I'm just now discovering that Gib has left us. I always enjoyed time spent with and around Gib in law school. He was Big Law start to finish, but he was also one of the good guys.

To all of Gib's family. I was so saddened just now to belatedly hear of your great loss. I had the privilege to work with Gib at Vinson & Elkins in the 1980s and remember him as a very fine lawyer who also had principles and integrity. His love of his family was also always to the fore. His memory will remain with me with much affection and respect.

To the Walton family, I was very saddened to read Gib's memorial in this month's issue of the Texas Bar Journal. Gib and I were friends at Lee High School where it became obvious to everyone that he was someone who would distinguish himself in the years to come. I was therefore not surprised when he ran for State Bar President nor when I read the tribute to him in the Bar Journal. I only wish that I known him throughout his life.

I will miss Gib dearly. I will never forget his gifts of kindness, enthusiasm and true civic service.

I never saw Gib that I didn't smile and feel good about the day. His smile, professionalism, kindness and competence were a milestone in my career. My thoughts are with you and your family. Brenda
