Not sure what to say?

Dear Dee, if you receive this note it will be a miracle. But I need to say I am so sad that your family lost Dan in 2009. And from my heart,...you both were the most wonderful friends we have had any where we have lived. My sweetest memory of Dan was the night around 2:00 a.m. when he drove my baby Terry and me to the ER because Terry was very sick. And you took my two other kids to your house and kept them all night. Thank you deeply from my heart. I hope you are doing well. Love,...

It has been ten years since Dan moved on. I still miss him. Dee missed him until the day she went to join him.

Now I can picture the two of them, dancing endlessly in the hereafter. How I wish I could have witnessed their reunion! In my heart of hearts, I know it wasn't long until the music was playing and they were off, like teenagers, whirling around . . . never again to let go of each others' hand.

Gentle thoughts to Jay, Jeff and Jon.

Love,

Happy birthday, Dad! I think about you all the time. I love you and I miss you!

It has taken me a long time to get to this point of writing. I think of Dee and Dan and their wonderful life together. Dee and Dan. Dee and Dan. You don't say one without the other. I would sit down to write but this great lump would come up in my throat and wouldn't go away. And then the tears just wouldn't stop.

I met Dan for the first time when my sister and he were dating. She was meeting him at a restaurant for lunch and invited me to come with her to meet him. We...

I first met Dan when I worked for his wife Dee an the gift shop at the Bahia Mar hotel on South Padre Island. My ex-husband was in the Coast Guard and was station there. Dan and Dee took us out to dinner for our birthdays and we had a marvelous time. We also went to their home for dinner a few times. They always made us feel like family and being that we were far from our family, that was a very good feeling. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dee, Jay, John and Jeff. God Bless you all. Chriss...

Just thinking about my Dad, like I do every day. I miss him so much. I love you, Dad!

Yes Happy Birthday Father. I was thinking about you as I walked around the unisphere with the fountains dancing. Just like you, full of joy.
I love you father,
Jeff

Happy Birthday Dad !!
Today you would have been 75 years old
What I really want to say is "Thank You", Thank You for all the Love you gave Mom , Jeff, Jon and myself,
Everyday you would come home , open the door and give that whistle,
Mom would answer back with her whistle and you two would follow each others whistle until you both met. You would always give Mom a big hug and and kiss, then you would come around and give us a big hug and ask how our day was. everyday ,...

My condolences to Dee and Dan's family. It was a shock to learn of Dan's passing.

I met Dan years ago when we were working on cotton and insecticide resistance. We soon became friends and in later years got together whenever we could at various meetings.

Dan was very supportive of people and was very generous in giving credit to all those he worked with. I found him to be a very generous person. There is no question that he had two passions: entomology and...
