I roomed with Dana for 4 years at Princeton and he is the only friend from that time I have kept in touch with. I shall certainly miss him and can only hope he can scout out heaven and find nice accomidations as he did in the PU room draws.I ,in retrospect, will now treasure the last visit we had in Maine this past fall and am glad I had the opportunity to meet you, Peg . The fact that Dana and you were able to have as much time together as you did is the only light I can find in this sad...

Dear Peg,
I am very saddened at the news of Dana's death. I cannot begin to understand why bad things happen to such good people. Dana was truly a good man and deserving of your committment and devotion. It certainly was above and beyond expectation and few of us ever find such solace in our transition to the other world.
Linda kept me up to date on how he was doing, but I never thought it would end so quickly. Perhaps that was in itself merciful.
