THOMPSON, Dana M. - Of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Flint, age 36, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her residence.



 



A memorial service will be held 7pm Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.



 



Visitation 5pm Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Cremation has taken place.



                       



Dana was born in Flint on July 8, 1982, the daughter of Michael and Thelma (Courney) Thompson. She graduated from Kearsley High School, Class of 2000, where she was a cheerleader, played volleyball and golf. Dana put herself through college attending Mott Community College and Ross Medical School. She earned several Associate Degrees. Dana enjoyed scrapbooking, music, nature, playing board games, playing pool, the Wizard of Oz, dolphins, daisies, cooking, Sudoku, dancing and loved spending time with her family, especially her children.



 



Surviving are children, Melony and Walter Smith-Thompson;



 



parents, Mike and Thelma Thompson;



 



brother, Mike and wife Michelle Thompson;



 



sister, Laura (Matthew) Thompson;



 



nieces and nephews, Tyra, Teven and Tatem Thompson-Farrior, Michael and Mya Thompson;



 



and many aunts, uncles and cousins.



 



She was preceded in death by grandparents, Willard and Goldie Courney and JA and Mary Katherine Thompson, aunt, Joyce Courney-Hoose and dear friends, Anna Ursay and Brian Dobbs.

Dana was a beautiful person inside and out. Although we only worked together for a short period of time, I grew to love her. My prayers are with the entire family. She is already missed so much.
