Not sure what to say?

A tree for my friend Treecraft

Towards the end, I remember looking out the window on a cloudy, blustery day and seeing someone ride by on a bike looking towards me. I did a double-take thinking it was the Wicked Witch of the West. Turns out it was Dan who was out for a test ride on an electric bicycle that he thought would suit me. We reminisced a bit about the day we both took off simultaneously after a squirrel that I told him had been chewing on my roof. The squirrel of course made it up the power pole but the elderly...

A joyful, wistful, tearful pleasure to read all of these entires. Thank you so much, eveyone, for providing these tributes and appreciations. Re-reading them all has brought him back for me this day.

I never knew the man, but he seems like my kind of guy.

What an awesome life chronicled! Every obit should be so honest and colorful. He has definitely left his mark on every society he encountered. Well done, Dandelion.

WHAT A GREAT OBIT FOR DANDELION, I WISHED I COULD HAVE MET HIM, NEVER A DULL MOMENT WITH HIM AROUND.
AFTER READING THIS OBIT I LAUGHED UNTIL THE TEARS RAN DOWN MY LEG. GOD BLESS YOU SIR, A LIFE WELL LIVED AND THE WAY YOU WANTED IT TO BE.

Welcome Home.

There is a special place in Heaven for fellers who can touch so many people in so many uniquely interesting and profoundly different ways. You will obviously be very missed and quite firmly affectionately remembered. May you keep the angel that shows you around....busy. And say "Hello" to my Grandma, would ya??

The Green/Progressive Archive presents two Oral History Conversations with with Dan Treecraft, and an audio of Dan's Live Wake, in which he pre-responds to incorrect eulogies of his life and times. Contact Our Journey producer Bob Zeller at [email protected] for information.

Ponderosa on Cleveland Ave.

Ah, Dan! Never easy. Without using spikes, he shaped our Ponderosa after icestorm with balanced harmony. I still see him lounging in the sling. Jan helped brush-up, the unsung foil and nurturer to "danacronism."

Ol' Dan Treecraft swingin' in the sky . . . Spinnin' in the breeze, truth-ing in yer eye. . . . Your graceful dieing complements your most noble accomplishments.

I wish I had known Dandelion - what a fabulous obit!! Thank you for leaving a bit of sunshine behind for all of us to enjoy!
