Daniel "Danny" Selby, Sr.

     Mr. Daniel Clifton “Danny” Selby, Sr., age 64, a resident of the North Creek area of Belhaven, NC died Saturday September 15, 2018 at his home.

     A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 20, 2018 at Bethany United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. John-Henry Lane. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.

     The family will receive friends following the service at Bethany United Methodist Church.

     Danny was born in Beaufort County on March 1, 1954 son of Joan Davis Selby who survives and the late Ottis Erroll Selby. He was a 1973 graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School. Prior to his retirement Danny was a heavy equipment operator with Texas Gulf. On April 28, 1996 he married the former Brenda Gale Jordan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed being an outdoorsman. Danny was a member of St. Clairs Church of Christ.

     Surviving along with his wife Brenda of the home and mother Joan Craft of Belhaven are two sons: Daniel C. Selby, Jr and his wife Patty of Grimesland and Eric Ryder Jordan of Greenville; a daughter: Gentry Lauren Setters and her husband Jason of Greenville; a brother: Timmy Selby and his wife Georgie of Belhaven and nine grandchildren: Shane, Kylie, Zoey, Sidney Ray, Walker Vann, Lillian, Alyssa, Ainsley and Baysden. Danny was predeceased by his father Ottis; his brother: Erroll Ken Selby and his step-father: Edward Earl Craft.
