Chambers Funeral Homes - North Olmsted Obituary

DANIEL A. ZAHN, JR.

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Daniel A. Zahn, Jr. on April 29, 2023, at the age of 51. Dan was a proud and loving husband to Traci (nee McCloskey), and the devoted “Super Dad” to Danny (Macie), Catie, and Maggie. He was the devoted son of Daniel (deceased) and Margaret Zahn; brother of Colleen Sas (Jeff) and Erin Kelley (Tom); son-in-law of Vikki and Don Mertz, and Clemeth McCloskey (Sheryl); brother-in-law of Dan McCloskey (Kim); and wonderful uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.

Dan was a hardworking business owner and a proud alumnus of St. Edward High School Class of 1989 and the University of Toledo. He was an amazing person who had a great sense of humor and was loved by many. His infectious laughter and quick wit brought joy to all those around him. He was a proud dog dad to his beloved Phoebe, and he adored his granddog, Winnie.

Dan's kind heart and warm personality will be missed by all those who knew him. He had a unique way of making everyone feel special and loved. He was a loyal and trustworthy friend, and his mind was always working on how he could build something to make life a little more fun, especially for Traci and their children.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for his Funeral Mass Friday, May 5, St. Brendan Church (4242 Brendan Lane North Olmsted, OH. 44070) at 10 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD. THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.

Dan’s legacy will live on through the love he shared with those around him and the memories he created. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Edward High School (www.sehs.net/memorialgiving) or the Cleveland Animal Protective League  https://clevelandapl.org/donate/memorial-and-tribute-gifts/
