Not sure what to say?

I cannot believe it is 16 years since Danny passed away. I still miss him. We are together from 1966 to 1970 as member of the Ohio State Football team. We were roommates from 1968 to 1970. I sometimes think I was infected with his silly dry sense of humor. He had a caring heart and I know that he loved his family, and his daughter Jillian was the light of his life. I have enclosed a picture of my daughter Jenny his honor. Bill Hackett

Traveling with Danny was always an adventure when calling on hotel owners. He got me my first new construction job when I opened up my own business.
When we entered the owner's office he was holding a brown bag and he told me that this owner would love what he (Danny) was bringing him. Danny said it was a little gift. I was nervous because it was my first "real" job on my own and Danny just stood there with his silly grin and shook the owner's hand. Then he said he had something for him...

I grew up in Scottsdale and met Danny 30 years ago. All I can say is he was one of a kind. Everytime we got together, it became a memory, a tall tale that grew over time, or just a simple lesson on life. He pretended he was a tough guy on the outside. We all knew he was a marshmellow on the inside. He had so many friends because he had a heart of gold. The best way I can tell "Danny stories," is to give examples of all of his personality traits.

1. Tough guy on the...

We met over 20 years ago when you married my cousin Cindy. Got to know you well the times we stayed with you because of you outgoing personality. You will be missed and loved eternally by many, most of all by Cindy and your beautiful daughter, Jillian. Our prayers are with you.

Danny,
I had always wanted a big brother, and I finally got one in you. I miss you terribly. You were so funny and nice. I have wonderful memories of you and they all involve laughing. My fondest memories are of the way you loved and played with my children. They loved their Uncle Danny so very much. You had boundless energy and such a joi de vivre, that made you so much fun to both adults and kids alike. You gave Allison the nickname Alley Cat that is so very special to her. Each...

DANNY,
WHEN I LAST SAW YOU A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AT CHARLIE AND DINAH'S HOUSE, IT WAS JUST LIKE SEEING YOU 3O YEARS AGO AT OUR HOUSE IN GLENDALE - LIKE AN EXPLOSION OF WARMTH AND LAUGHTER. OUR HOME WAS ALWAYS SO ALIVE AND HAPPY WHEN YOU VISITED. OF ALL THE FRIENDS OF MY 3 BROTHERS THAT FOUND THEIR WAY INTO OUR HOME AND LIVES, YOU WERE ALWAYS THE KINDEST AND MOST AFFECTIONATE. ONLY YOU COULD GET MY GRANDMOTHER FERN TO LAUGH (WE COULDN'T), ONLY YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH PINCHING HER BUTT (WE...

Danny, Big Red. No more running away to our house. Nothing but great memories, laughs, and thoughts. Always a smile, always a kind word.Say "Hello" to Jean, my 2nd Mom, and to Big Charlie, my best friend. I am a better person because you were my friend. Doug Isaacs

I am so sad today. Danny, I only knew you in high school at Princeton, but reading what others have said about you I am not surprised that you became such an incredible person in every sense. I wish we had maintained contact over the years. I can't tell you how many times I have thought about you over the years. I never got to meet Cindy and of course Jillian, but my prayers go out to you.
