Dr. Daniel Ray "Danny" Atha

Dan started in one of his first coaching positions at Mountain View High School in 1960, my Senior year. He was instrumental in helping to build the best football team that Mountain View had at that point becoming the conference co-champs and beating West Plains in the process. Any victory over West Plains was a great achievement for Mountain View. I was on that team and greatly enjoyed his coaching and friendship. My sympathies to Dan's sister, Brenda, daughter, Julie, and son, Matthew. I've know Brenda for many years and know that Dan was an inspiration to her, other family members, and those who knew him.
