Lynn - Daniel Avery, son of late Claire and Leroy Avery of Lynn MA. A loved father of 4 children, Princess Avery, Precious Avery, Perceptomy Avery and Paradise (Avery) Hogan. Daniel is also survived by 6 siblings, Barbara Rivera, David Avery, Deborah Avery, Theresa Avery, Lena Nelson, Todd Avery and Marilyn Avery (deceased). Danny, (AKA - Payday Avery) is a well-known resident of Lynn. Danny was a professional boxer who fought world champions and won numerous New England Golden Glove Titles. Danny was a gifted boxer with an unusual talent of making people laugh when they needed it the most. Danny is a 1977 graduate of Lynn English High School. As a youth he enjoyed spending his time at the Lynn Boys club, where he began his boxing career, under the tutelage of his trainer Tony Pavone. Danny has a sports legacy that will never be forgotten! He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. May he "Rest in Peace"!

Service Information: Funeral Services will be held at ST. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church on Friday January 15th at 11:00am. Thereafter, he will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions service will also be held via Zoom. Flowers may be sent to Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St. Lynn MA, 01902

I KNEW Dannyfor 45 years,we knew each other from the lynn ymca and i saw him Box at thr Harbor House on the Lynnway,what a great kid
